KENYA
Kenya is a country of East Africa with coastline on the Indian Ocean. It counts several savannah open forests, wetlands, dramatic rift valley and mountain highlands. It is also home of big five animals and other wildlife and we do not forget an annual wildebeest migration to cross Mara River in Masai Mara National Park.

Why Visit Kenya
Kenya is where the safari was born. The Masai Mara’s golden grasslands, Amboseli’s elephant herds with Kilimanjaro as backdrop, and the flamingo-covered shores of Lake Nakuru have defined the African safari experience for generations. Kenya combines world-class wildlife with Maasai culture, Indian Ocean coastline, and a well-established tourism infrastructure.
National Parks & Wildlife
Masai Mara National Reserve
Kenya’s flagship reserve and the northern anchor of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem. The Great Migration arrives here from July to October, with dramatic Mara River crossings. Year-round Big Five viewing and exceptional predator density make it Africa’s premier game drive destination.
Amboseli National Park
Famous for large elephant herds photographed against the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. One of the best places in Africa to see elephants up close in open terrain.
Tsavo East & West
Kenya’s largest national parks, known for red-dusted elephants, volcanic landscapes, and the Mzima Springs. Less crowded than the Mara with a wilder, more remote atmosphere.
Lake Nakuru National Park
A Rift Valley soda lake renowned for flamingos and rhino conservation. Both black and white rhino are regularly spotted here.
Visa & Entry
Since January 2024, Kenya uses an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) system — visa on arrival is no longer available. Apply online at etakenya.go.ke before travel. Most African passport holders can enter visa-free for up to 60 days without an eTA.
| Visa type | eTA (must apply online before travel) |
| Cost | $30 (multiple-entry, valid up to 5 years) |
| Stay limit | 90 days per entry |
| Processing | 48–72 hours |
| East Africa Tourist Visa | $100 — covers Kenya, Rwanda & Uganda for 90 days |
Passport must be valid for at least 6 months. Yellow fever certificate required if arriving from an endemic country (e.g. Uganda, Ethiopia).
Best Time to Visit
The Great Migration is in the Mara from July to October. The dry season (June–October) offers the best overall game viewing. January–February is warm and dry with excellent birdwatching. The long rains (March–May) bring lower prices and fewer tourists.
