The Pearl of Africa

Wild Uganda

Gorillas. Chimpanzees. Lions. 1,000+ bird species. Uganda is Africa's most biodiverse destination — and we'll take you deep into it.

Uganda's iconic wildlife

Four world-class wildlife experiences, all in one country.

Planning a Uganda Safari

Uganda offers some of the best wildlife value in Africa. Gorilla trekking permits cost $800 compared to $1,500 in Rwanda, and the country's parks are less crowded. The trade-off is longer driving distances between parks — but the scenic routes through rolling green hills are part of the experience.

A typical Uganda safari combines Bwindi for gorillas, Queen Elizabeth for Big Five game drives and the Kazinga Channel boat cruise, and Kibale for chimpanzee tracking. Add Murchison Falls for the dramatic waterfall and Shoebill stork sightings. Most itineraries run 7–14 days.

We operate Uganda safaris from both Kampala/Entebbe and from our base in Bujumbura, with cross-border transfers through Rwanda. Our complete gorilla trekking guide compares Rwanda and Uganda options in detail.
