Sleep Under African Skies
Camping is the most immersive way to experience East Africa. Fall asleep to the sounds of hippos in Lake Tanganyika, wake to birdsong in the Nyungwe canopy, or stargaze from a bush camp in Akagera. We handle all logistics so you can focus on the experience.
Our Camping Setup
We provide quality dome tents, sleeping mats, camp chairs, and cooking equipment. Our camp cook prepares fresh meals, and our guide doubles as camp manager — setting up, securing the site, and ensuring your comfort and safety.
Where We Camp
- Akagera National Park (Rwanda) — designated campsites overlooking lakes, with Big Five wildlife nearby
- Lake Tanganyika beaches (Burundi) — camp on the shores of the world's second-deepest lake. See our Lake Tanganyika guide.
- Queen Elizabeth NP (Uganda) — bush camping with elephant and buffalo sightings from your tent
- Ruvubu National Park (Burundi) — Burundi's wildest park, with riverside camping
Camping vs. Lodge Safari
Camping safaris are typically 20–40% less expensive than lodge-based trips and offer a more authentic wilderness experience. For those who prefer more comfort, we also offer hotel and lodge bookings. Browse our tour packages for both camping and lodge options.
