What to Expect
Our game drives use open-top 4x4 Land Cruisers — purpose-built safari vehicles that give you unobstructed views and the best photography angles. Each drive is led by an experienced naturalist guide who knows the parks intimately: where the lion prides rest, where elephants cross at dusk, and where the rare shoebill stork hunts.
Where We Drive
We operate game drives across the region's top parks:
- Akagera National Park (Rwanda) — the only Big Five park in Rwanda, with lions reintroduced in 2015. See our 3-Day Akagera Safari.
- Queen Elizabeth National Park (Uganda) — tree-climbing lions, hippo-filled Kazinga Channel, and 600+ bird species
- Serengeti & Ngorongoro (Tanzania) — the classic East African safari, home to the Great Migration
- Ruvubu National Park (Burundi) — Burundi's largest park with buffalo, hippo, and antelope
- Virunga National Park (DRC) — Africa's oldest park, with active volcanoes and diverse wildlife
Morning vs. Sunset Drives
Morning drives (departing around 6:00 AM) offer the best chance for predator sightings as animals are most active in the cool hours. Sunset drives provide dramatic golden-hour light and are ideal for photography. Most of our multi-day packages include both.
